Favorite Spring 2022 Tableware Finds

In Savannah where we are in our own pocket of time; the azaleas are blooming, the trees are turning green along with the fountain for St. Patrick’s Day. Spring is in the air and it just feels right. With that said, there is a reason I love events, changing spaces and bringing in fresh ideas and perspectives is my passion. I love giving my home a refresh that starts with a deep purge and cleaning allowing more room to bring items in that bring me joy and make me smile.

This spring is no different. I’m looking at items that bring my space brightness and lightness and removing anything that seems stale or outdated. Below are some of my favorite finds for bringing spring into the home that I also see translating into events in one way or another.

Maison Margaux Teapot.

Over The Moon did an Easter blog post, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, please do. That is where I first saw this adorable tea set. I love the green pattern, simple and inviting while having a touch of elegance with the gold trim. It is so beautiful and I see this pattern carrying over into many event decor items, like linens, china and paper suites.

Soleil Charger / Placemat.

Found at The ARK Elements, this charger is so versatile. It can be casual for lunch or dressed up for an evening dinner. The pattern is so elegantly detailed, created by artisans in Columbia. With three different color options, you will be sure to find one that matches your home base colors. I also love the mission of The ARK Elements of bringing life to gatherings and transforming your home with true artisan pieces.

Bloom Tableware Collection.

Another favorite of mine from The ARK Elements is their exclusive dinnerware line - Bloom. Designed in collaboration with Marie Daagé in France, their Bloom pattern was inspired by Iznik artwork from the Ottoman Empire. ARK Elements’ version is a modern twist on an historically rich design. Each piece is hand painted in France and comes in five different colorways.

Estelle Colored Glass Wine Glasses.

These wine glasses bring an extra pop of color and vibrancy to your bar cart. Coming in a variety of colors you are sure to find one that puts a smile on your face. I love the simplicity of the shapes they offer along with the range of colors. One of the biggest trends for events in 2022 is the integration of colored glassware and a highlight of specialty cocktails. These Estelle Colored Glasses will bring that same feeling into a dinner just at home.

Daughter Handwoven Dinner Napkins.

These hand woven dinner napkins and hand towels are an easy way to add a pop of color and freshness to your kitchen and dining spaces. They are made with cotton and linen fibers, so you know they will stand the test of time. I love that they are made by local Savannah artist, Alex who also teaches weaving classes at Abode Studios. If you have the lead time, she can custom create your napkins to your color and pattern preference as well.

Whenever I’m searching for my next statement piece or even a compliment to something I already have, I keep an eye out for small business and local artists that I can support, including checking out Shop SCAD and Abode Studios. I’m always looking for the next thing to inspire me. But I also keep an eye out for artisans all over the world that are able to share their gifts and talents.

You don’t have to host an elegant evening to have these special items in your home. Keep in mind the love of gathering for a meal or cup of tea and sharing stories and laughter. At the end of the day, those are the moments that bring the most magic into our lives.  What will you use to bring a fresh breath of spring air into your home?  Will you donate the old so someone else can bring a fresh life into it and open yourself up to something new and exciting?
