Vows & Vendors: Bringing Your Day to Life

When it comes to planning your dream wedding or event, every detail matters. From the invitations that welcome guests to the bouquet that accompanies you down the aisle, each individual element deserves to be memorable. Behind each detail comes an intentional approach and thoughtful design, from a seasoned professional who specializes in bringing all that you envisioned, to fruition.

We’re giving credit where it’s due and breaking down our list of must-need vendors to help get you to your vows in perfect style!

Stunning Stationery

East Coast stationary experts, such as LowCountry Paper Co. and Momental Designs, know just how to bring your event design to life on paper. From the first save-the-date your guests receive to personalized menus and more, working with knowledgeable vendors can help you secure beautiful designs that embody your event and are sure to blow your guests away. Here are a few things to consider before letting the designers work their magic:

  • Are you looking to achieve a modern, trendy take on stationery or do you prefer a more traditional, timeless approach?

  • Do neutral and pastel palettes seem more “you” or would you rather opt for an eye-catching pop of color?

  • Do you prefer handwritten calligraphy, elegant typography, or a combination of both?

  • Do you have a family crest or any other special symbol that you’d like to incorporate as a meaningful nod?

Your stationery tells your guests what to expect before and during your event and can even serve as an optional souvenir to remember your day with, after. Need more inspiration to help you decide where to start? View some of our recent projects here.

Breathtaking Florals

A good florist does more than build arrangements, they create true art. They understand the nuances of color, texture, and design techniques which helps them turn any space into a romantic paradise. From bridal bouquets to centerpieces, a florist with an eye for creativity, can quickly take your design from drab to fab. Not only are florals a great way to add a pop of color and dimension to a space, but they’re also a surefire way to create a striking display that can really elevate the luxuriousness of your overall design.

Ask yourself this question before making a decision on a florist:

  • Do they really understand my creative vision? Remember, your wedding is a reflection of YOUR unique love story and each vendor that you work with should be on the same page in order to make your day bloom.

  • Don’t have a creative vision? Not to worry! Leaning on an expert that can see one before you do can be wildly helpful to your decision making process. Don’t be afraid to research portfolios and find inspiration elsewhere before deciding on a florist to execute the displays.

We work closely with trusted florists, such as Em Creative, August Floral, and Jardiniere Events, that have all proven to be as consistent as they are creative in their designs. Florals are a necessary element to any event design and finding the right talent to take over this task is key to creating the quintessential day you’ve always dreamed of.

Capturing the Moments

You’ve put in all of the time, energy, and effort into designing your big day. Now, it’s time to capture it. Videographers and photographers have the ability to document the raw emotions and experience. Perhaps the most valuable exchange that their work provides, is the ability to relive your day over and over again.

Consider these questions:

  • What’s your favorite style? Each photographer and videographer has their own uniqueness. The angles, lighting, and editing types are all things to look for when hiring someone to take on this role. For example, photographers like Dana Cubbage and Perry Vaile offer a bright and vibrant style, while Love, Anneliese adds more contrast to her visuals..

  • Does the videographer have prior experience with my location? Working with a vendor that is familiar with your venue is always helpful when finding optimal shooting locations and any other unique features that can enhance the visuals. From aerial drone footage to up-close shots, videographers like HUD production and KEJ production can take motion pictures to the next level.

  • Why do you need both? While these services can be an investment, they offer different, cherishable perspectives. Photographs freeze individual moments and allow you to soak in the still details, while videos bring those moments back to life and let you experience them time and time again.

Let’s face it - you can’t be a million places at once while you’re in the present moment of your big day. While the moments won’t last, the memories captured through images and video will, so you can feel like you didn’t miss a second of it.

Connecting the Dots

We all want our day to be perfect and rolling the dice on un-vetted vendors isn’t worth the risk. A wedding planner eliminates any uncertainty by suggesting a trusted network of vendors that would align best with your needs and then connecting the dots, between all parties, so that your special day goes off without a hitch.

Having someone to manage the surplus of vendors, deadlines, and designs along with acting as an advocate on behalf of your vision will alleviate the pressure and allow you to kick back and enjoy the ride.
