Celebrating a Year of Love: Recapping Our Favorite 2023 Wedding Moments

Another love-filled year, full of outstanding wedding designs and cheerful celebrations, has come to an end. With each event, we bring together brilliant minds and organized thoughts to create innovative and personal occasions that are sure to be remembered forever. As we ring in a fresh year full of new beginnings, we’re recapping some of our favorite moments of 2023 and celebrating all of the diverse ceremonies, gatherings, and more - that we were fortunate enough to be trusted with in bringing to fruition.

Weddings - Ceremonies, Receptions, & More

It all starts with “yes”. After uttering that three letter word, the wedding planning journey may commence and the act of officially saying “I do” is no longer a distant thought. From capturing the moment of getting down on one knee to witnessing the reactions as our brides walked down the aisle, we were lucky to continue building relationships with couples during one of the most monumental times in their lives.

From the tried and true Montage Palmetto Bluff chapel to picturesque beachfront setups, we took advantage of each opportunity to locate the perfect venue for our clients and transform it into a place that fully resembled their love for one another - locally in Savannah, GA and in outside destinations across the US. Regardless of the distance, we’ve continued to expand upon our Southern roots and meet the needs of brides and grooms everywhere. 

Whether they requested playful garden themes or classically tented concepts, we carefully curated exquisite ceremonies and receptions that captured the full essence of their love story. Backdrops, tablescapes, floral arrangements, and entertainment - each post-vow celebration allowed us to seamlessly translate the love, values, and spirits of our couples into design.

Intimate Gatherings & Event Design 

Don’t let the smaller events fool you - they packed a big punch. 

We worked alongside those who were hosting personal gatherings, baby showers, and lavish dinner parties, as well, and offered them a guiding hand in planning and truly taking care of all of the details. As a result, they were far from lacking the qualities of an intimate masterpiece. We pulled inspiration from elegant color palettes and warm candle lighting to make for romantic settings that brought friends and family together for days and nights of rejoicing. 

Proposals made for the most exciting surprise to kickstart the journey from “fiance” to “husband” or “wife”. However, there was more to the planning than just orchestrating one of life’s most beautiful beginnings. With each proposal, we were given the opportunity to deeply understand the nuances that make our couples’ relationships special and then decide, alongside the groom, how their future spouse would get asked the big question.

Connections & Challenges

Last, but certainly not least, some of our favorite 2023 moments were the times that we had the chance to connect with other industry experts and showcase our talents through conferences and competitions. 

Emergence Event hosted a wedding industry getaway at Pippin Hill Farm, where we had the opportunity to come together with like-minded professionals for a week of uplifting and educational activity. Building relationships with other event connoisseurs allows us to continuously cater to our clients’ individual needs by introducing the best fit vendors to help carry us out their visions. 

Additionally, we participated in the Styled by Southern Bride Magazine Challenge at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District where we worked alongside brilliantly motivated teams, vendors, and models to style a design space based on assigned parameters. With luxury event planning as our primary service, we felt confident in taking on the challenge of bringing a high-end couple’s wedding story to life through elevated and elegant out-of-the-box designs.

At Allison Event Design, we work to perfect our craft and getting to be a part of these experiences helped us expand our knowledge, stretch our skillset, and prepare for even more incredible events to come.

2023 - A Year to Remember 

As a wedding and event planner, it is a continuous privilege to collaborate with beautiful couples, families, vendors, and venues to create an outcome that clients have dreamed of their entire lives. From curation to execution, we work to assemble individual masterpieces that represent the unique love story that our couples share. 

Truly, I want each and every one of my clients to look back on the event or wedding that we create together with so many beautiful memories - beyond just the incredible florals or meticulous place setting. I want you to laugh as you remember your silly uncle on the dance floor trying to sing all of the words with your band but messing it up terribly. I want you to remember the morning you are proposing with the buzz and thinking, ‘today everything changes.’ The celebrations this year had all of those moments and more, but most importantly, Allison Event Design was able to witness an insurmountable amount of love and connection, making 2023 a year to remember.
