Bring Your love story to life

Here are Allison Event Design, we enjoy working with couples that want to bring their unique love story and vision to life on their wedding weekend. We find so much joy in highlighting the seemingly small details that brought them together, keep them together and the stories that surround from their family and friends.

Here are a few weddings over the years that we used some of those special details in our design that were beyond what may have been trendy at the time.

For this late winter celebration, the couple loved neutrals with a pop of green. The bride’s father works in the citrus industry, so for a fun touch and subtle pop of color, cumquats became the perfect touch throughout the reception while still being effortlessly chic.

For this spring celebration, the groom is originally from France and during the pandemic was not able to celebrate with as many of his family members as originally planned. We still wanted to honor his home and celebrate where their love story began. We created a romantic French garden in a tent complete with trickling water and a macaron tower.

For these Alabama Alum, college was the beginning of their relationship. Like this love story, we began the weekend with a subtle nod to their start with touch of school colors. The bride also wore her mother's adapted wedding dress this evening as well for a touching moment of her start. On their wedding day, we honored the local area with oyster shell place cards and blue willow pots that mimicked the brides’ grandmothers’ heirloom collection of vases.

For this summer celebration, the couple met because of a new pup named Hayes. To celebrate the beginning of their relationship, we started the weekend with welcome note that had a watercolor painting of Hayes and included all their favorite places on property where the celebration was being held. We also highlighted their love of hot sauce with a fun custom label for guests’ keepsakes.

For this spring celebration, the bride's very close cousin was unable to attend the wedding. Her name is Daisy and holds an extremely important piece of the bride's heart. We chose to honor her with touches of daisies and similar flower varieties throughout the celebration, so she knew we were thinking of her.

Here at Allison Event Design, we find it SO important that your wedding day feels like you. When we take the time to be intentional, listen to how you met, learn what keeps you together and in love; we are then able to bring those pieces alive in your day. We want you to feel 100 % authentic on one of your biggest moments and we want your guests to walk away saying, “what a great celebration of them.” For us it’s so much more than a checklist and following the trendy colors, for us it’s the highlighting and celebrating two people and telling their story as it begins the next chapter. For more of these special moments, check out this journal post on Bringing Out What is More Important on Your Wedding Day.
